1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Unlike most applications, Delete My Tweets is designed to collect as little information as possible:

• Your Tweets: We never see, store, or have access to your tweet content. All processing happens locally on your device.
• Your Twitter Password: We use Twitter's OAuth system. Your password is entered directly on Twitter's website, never in our app.
• Your Personal Information: We don't collect your name, email (except for purchase), profile data, or any other personal information from Twitter.
• Usage Analytics: We don't track how you use the app, how many tweets you delete, or any behavioral data.

2. Information We DO Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to process your purchase:

• Purchase Information: When you buy Delete My Tweets, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment details. We receive only your email address and transaction confirmation.
• Email Address: Used solely to send your download link and important product updates (security patches, etc.). We never share or sell your email.

3. How the App Works (Technical Details)

To be fully transparent about how Delete My Tweets handles your data:

• Authentication: The app opens a browser window to Twitter's official login page. You authenticate directly with Twitter, which returns an OAuth token to the app. This token is stored locally on your device only.
• Tweet Deletion: The app uses the token to make API requests directly from your computer to Twitter's servers. Your tweets are fetched and deleted without passing through any intermediary servers.
• Local Storage: Any temporary data (like the OAuth token or your Twitter archive) is stored locally on your computer and is deleted when you log out or close the app.

4. Twitter Archive

When you import your Twitter archive:

• The archive file remains on your computer
• The app reads the file locally to identify tweets to delete
• No archive data is uploaded or transmitted anywhere
• You can delete the archive file at any time

5. Third-Party Services

We use limited third-party services:

• Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment transactions. We do not store your credit card information.
• Twitter/X API: The app connects directly to Twitter's API. Twitter's privacy policy governs their handling of API requests.
• Vercel: Our website hosting. Standard web server logs may include IP addresses for security purposes.

6. Data Security

Because data stays on your computer, you are in control of its security:

• OAuth tokens are stored in your operating system's secure storage
• No sensitive data is transmitted over the network except directly to Twitter
• The app does not have any remote access capabilities
• Closing the app clears all session data

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Revoke the app's access to Twitter at any time via Twitter Settings
• Request deletion of your purchase email from our records
• Ask questions about how your data is handled

8. Children's Privacy

Delete My Tweets is not intended for use by children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy occasionally. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the app. Continued use of Delete My Tweets after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
